Common Makeup Mistakes to avoid during your course

So you are pursuing your Make Up Lessons. Do you know what the common makeup mistakes that you must avoid while practising are?

If not, the below information is just for you.

Not moisturising skin

This is a nightmare. Moisturising your skin before applying makeup is the first and most important step. Whether you have dry skin or oily skin, never avoid applying moisturiser and sunscreen ever.

Concealing too much

We love to hide all our flaws under the concealer, but little do we know that it could make our face look all caky if not applied accurately. With the right concealer application, we can achieve that HD looks and ensure that nothing looks overdone. We have seen people applying a thick layer of concealer. Stop doing that! It’s the worst makeup practice, and it would make your face look weird after a few hours. For concealer, you don’t have to apply a thick layer, all you need is a few dots. If you have dark circles, apply the colour correct before concealer and see everything looking fine and natural.

Not applying blush adequately

Many people ruin the blush by applying it on the apples of the cheeks, and that too in excess. In the same way, some people apply too little blush that it doesn’t look like there is any blush applied. The best way to apply blush is on the apples of your cheeks and blend it all over your cheekbones. This technique creates a natural glow, and you would look amazing when a highlighter is applied over the blush. You can choose any kind of blush such as pink, peach, red, orange, and many others.

Choosing the wrong shade of foundation

The foundation plays a crucial role in defining how well your makeup looks. The shade of your foundation must be the same as your skin tone. Choosing a tone lighter or darker than your natural shade can be a nightmare. You can do a patch test while choosing a foundation. If you are doing makeup on your client’s face, do a little patch test on their jawline. Choose the one which is closest to your client’s skin tone.  In foundations, you can find different options such as pale, pink, etc. You can choose any kind of tone in a foundation that would go with the look.

Overfilling eyebrows

Brows are the major part of your face which define your entire appearance. Hence, you wouldn’t want to overdo them. You might have seen girls with bushy eyebrows and still filling their brows. While filling your eyebrows, you have to take care of few things such as the shape of the brows, thickness, and distance from the eyes. Hair colour also plays a crucial role in filling your brows the right way. You don’t have to change the shape of your brows while filling the eyebrows, all you have to do is go with your natural shape and fill the empty spaces. Avoid filling the beginning points of the eyebrows.

So make the most out of your course but avoiding the above mistakes during Make Up Lessons.
